Strings Hotel Tokyo Intercontinental Offers ‘Summer Chinese Afternoon Tea’ Until September 10

The Strings Hotel Tokyo Intercontinental is offering ‘Summer Chinese Afternoon Tea’ from July 10 to September 10.

This afternoon tea features Miyazaki prefecture’s premium mango ‘Taiyo no Tamago’ (Egg of the Sun) and Japanese tea from the historic Kyoto shop ‘Ippodo Tea Co.’ The menu includes 10 types of sweets such as ‘Mango and pineapple pie’ and ‘Mango and lychee egg tart,’ and 6 types of savory items including ‘Steamed shrimp with XO sauce’ and ‘Chinese sandwich with beef fillet.’ The Night Afternoon Tea comes with Peking duck. For an additional fee (550 yen), you can add ‘Nanko plum jade cold noodles’ or ‘Five-ingredient fried rice with XO sauce.’ The drink selection offers original blend tea selections of Japanese and Chinese tea.

Located on the 26th floor at the Chinese restaurant ‘China Shadow.’ Available from noon to 2 PM (last order) and from 6 PM to 7:30 PM (same). The price is 6,600 yen for lunch and 7,700 yen for dinner, both excluding service charge and including tax. Plans including free-flow champagne are also available.
