The Shinjuku Prince Hotel is offering a witch’s forest-themed ‘Halloween Afternoon Tea – Lost in the Witch’s Forest –’ from September 1st to October 31st.
The three-tier stand imagines a witch’s house in the forest. The sweets include ‘Enchanting Poison Apple’ allowing guests to pour matcha sauce over to simulate making a poisoned apple, ‘Secret Rose Tart’ that gives off a rose aroma when syrup is poured on, ‘Witch’s Herb Balls’ using herbs, and ‘Rune Macaron’ featuring rune characters. The savory plate includes dishes using autumn flavors like ‘Mushroom Gratin Monster’ and ‘Cursed Forest Quiche’, with mushrooms and purple sweet potatoes. A welcome drink named ‘The Witch’ with two colors is also provided.
The location is the 25th floor ‘Japanese Dining & Bar FUGA (Elegance)’. The tea is served from 2:30 PM until 5:00 PM in 2-hour sessions. Prices start at 6,000 yen, taxes and service charge not included.
