Delta Air Lines Begins Deployment of T-Mobile’s Free High-Speed Wi-Fi
Delta Air Lines has started the deployment of T-Mobile’s free high-speed Wi-Fi.
It communicates via Viasat’s satellite. At this stage, SkyMiles login is not required, and a personalized experience based on membership qualifications will be provided later this year.
It will be introduced on routes to the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy in August, and by September, it will be available on most European routes. In October, it will be available in South America and Hawaii, and in December and January 2025 for Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, with availability expanding to routes in the Pacific and South Africa from mid to late 2025.
As of now, approximately 700 aircraft covering more than 90% of the domestic major routes already offer access to free high-speed Wi-Fi.
