Narita International Airport, All Nippon Airways (ANA), and the city of Narita are set to hold a “Tug-of-War Event with a Jet Plane (to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the municipal government’s establishment in Narita)” on October 6.
The event is part of the Narita Airport Sky Day Festival 2024, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the municipal government’s establishment in Narita, featuring a tug-of-war with an Airbus A380 aircraft used for ANA’s Tokyo/Narita to Honolulu route (FLYING HONU).
Participants can apply on Narita Airport’s website from August 15 to 29 until 4 p.m. The event is open to elementary school students and their guardians, with a total of 400 participants to be recruited. In the event of an excessive number of applicants, participants will be selected by lottery. The aircraft used for the event is subject to change due to operational reasons.
