United Airlines began offering special business class inflight meals in collaboration with the Netflix program “Chef’s Table” on August 1.
“Chef’s Table” is a Netflix documentary series that focuses on chefs from around the world. Dishes created by chefs featured on the program will be served onboard. The 10 new menu offerings were supervised by 11 chefs representing seven U.S. cities as well as Tokyo, London, and São Paulo, spanning four continents. They consist of appetizers, salads, and main courses inspired by each city. Each chef’s menu will be served on United Polaris business class long-haul international flights departing from the chef’s home city.
Participating chefs include Nancy Silverton of Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles and Fariyal Abdullahi of Hav & Mar in New York/Newark. Flights departing Tokyo will feature dishes by Tashi Gyamtso of JIMGU.
