Yomiuri Land to Open New Ferris Wheel ‘Sky-Go-LAND’ on October 24
Yomiuri Land is set to open its new Ferris wheel, ‘Sky-Go-LAND,’ on October 24.
The Ferris wheel is designed to be accessible to those in wheelchairs, and is equipped with air conditioning and heating. Installed with 483 full-color LED lights, it offers various lighting performances. The highest point reaches an elevation of about 160 meters, with a total of 42 gondolas. One rotation takes approximately 14 minutes.
This addition is part of the 60th-anniversary celebration projects, featuring a ‘Twin Ferris Wheel’ operation where the new and existing Ferris wheels run side by side for a limited time. The large Ferris wheel that has been in operation since 1980 will cease its operation on January 13, 2025.
