Sumitomo Realty & Development’s Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport has added three types of retro design stickers as new novelties for its ongoing “JAL×Villa Fontaine Collaboration Room”.
These stickers reproduce the illustrations designed by the artist Ikumi Nagai, which JAL used in the early 1950s for promotions such as timetables, posters, and in-flight novelty distribution. Maintaining the existing novelties, three types of stickers featuring the “WINGS OF THE NEW JAPAN” catchphrase with the motif of cranes flying over the sea have been prepared. Guests can choose their favorite design upon check-in, receiving one sticker per person per night.
Furthermore, the hotel is hosting a campaign exclusive to guests staying until November 30, offering the chance to win one of 50 upcycled cushion covers made from surplus fabric of the first “Class J” seats. A total of 900 units are planned for the lottery, with 50 designated as winning units. A lottery ticket will be randomly inserted into the sticker chosen at check-in, and guests who draw a “win” will be given a cushion cover on the spot.
