Tsurutontan Roppongi to Reopen at a New Location
Kato Pleasure Group’s K Express announces the grand reopening of “Tsurutontan UDON NOODLE Brasserie Roppongi” on September 1st, after its relocation.
The new location is on the 7th floor of Axall Roppongi, in front of Tokyo Midtown. The previous venues, “Tsurutontan Roppongi” and “Tsurutontan Kotensho-ro/Lakuseian”, have closed due to the move.
The restaurant offers a limited quantity of udon noodles, monthly special dishes, a selection of fine Japanese sake, wines, and cocktails. It features a variety of seating options, including counter seats, sofa tables, terraces, and private rooms, and accepts group reservations.
The new menu item, “Tsurutontan’s Oversized Udon”, showcases a luxurious udon with richly flavored broth and three balls of udon noodles, topped with ingredients such as an exceptionally large piece of fried tofu, a giant prawn tempura with head on, and thinly sliced beef shabu, all serving to represent the extravagance of Roppongi with its overwhelming presence. It is served in a large red and white bowl with a diameter of 24 cm.
Tsurutontan was originally established in 1989 in Soemoncho, Osaka, as its first store. It now operates 18 stores worldwide, having expanded to Tokyo with its first store in Roppongi in 2005.
The restaurant has 129 seats, with business hours from 11 am to 8 am the following morning on Mondays through Saturdays and the day before holidays, and from 11 am to 11 pm on Sundays and holidays. It is open all year round.
