Loco Partners, the operator of the hotel booking service ‘Relux’, is suspending the handling of certain return gifts for the ‘Hometown Tax Coupon’ offered through Relux.
Following the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ revision of the system for return gifts in the hometown tax program, from October 1st, it will cease handling return gifts with a discount amount exceeding 50,000 yen, except for certain cases.
As a result, it will no longer be possible to make contributions of 200,000 yen or more through the hometown tax system. Contributions will continue to be accepted as usual until September 30th. The valid period is one month from the issue date.
