Okinawa Convention and Visitors Bureau Showcases Karate and Eisa Dance at Traditional-Style Booth at Tourism EXPO Japan 2024
The Okinawa Convention and Visitors Bureau is showcasing a booth at the ‘Tourism EXPO Japan 2024’, currently being held at Tokyo Big Sight.
The theme of the booth is ‘#WelcomeBackOkinawa’, featuring a nostalgic old private house. The program includes Okinawan folk music performances by tourism ambassador Mr. Yonaguni Daisuke, karate demonstrations, performances by the Eisa group ‘Ryukyu Kokusai Festival Drum’, and keychain-making experiences utilizing microplastics. The booth is located near the entrance of Hall East 6.
‘Tourism EXPO Japan 2024’ will be held until September 29th. The general admission days are September 28th and 29th. Operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (until 5:00 PM on the last day). September 26th and 27th are for trade talks among industry insiders, and general visitors will not be admitted. Same-day tickets for general admission are priced at 1,300 yen, with free admission for students.
