T’way Airlines to Lease Five Airbus A330-900 Aircraft
T’way Airlines will lease five Airbus A330-900 aircraft from Avalon.
The airline plans to introduce five aircraft by 2026 to strengthen its network of long-haul international routes to Europe, the United States, and Canada. Negotiations are also underway to add another five aircraft by 2027.
The interior will feature about 340 seats, including business class, with the economy class planned to be in a ‘2-4-2’ configuration.
The introduction of this model marks the first time for a Korean airline. The airline has previously introduced three Airbus A330-300 aircraft at the beginning of 2022 for long-haul routes. Following that, four Airbus A330-200 aircraft leased from Korean Air were deployed on routes to Rome, Paris, and Barcelona.
