Japan Airlines (JAL) and Lead Index have started selling travel insurance that can be subscribed to via the “JAL Mileage Bank” app since October 1st at 1 pm.
By integrating the insurance sales system “Fusion” provided by Lead Index into the app, insurance offerings are made possible without the need for individual system integration with each insurance company.
Initially, three products will be offered: domestic travel insurance, overseas travel insurance, and ski/snowboard insurance, with Zurich as the underwriting insurance company. Each category will feature three types of plans: a casual plan, a standard plan, and a peace-of-mind plan, all available for subscription from just a few hundred yen.
