IBEX Airlines Begins Offering Flight Cancellation Insurance
IBEX Airlines has started offering flight cancellation insurance from October 1.
The insurance covers cancellation fees and others in cases such as the insured person’s death or hospitalization, hospitalization of a spouse or a relative within the second degree of consanguinity, damage to houses due to natural disasters, or when the transportation to the airport is suspended, canceled, or delayed for more than two hours. This service is provided in collaboration with ANA Facilities and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance.
There are two plans available: one that covers cancellations due to business trips and one that does not. The premium for a ticket price of 15,000 yen with business trip coverage is 580 yen, and for a ticket price of 22,000 yen without business trip coverage, it is 820 yen. The minimum premium is 500 yen.
The eligible fares are IBEX WEB1/3/WEB7/21/28/45/Special Offer, and only tickets purchased through the official website are eligible. The plan with business trip coverage can be subscribed up to 40 days before the boarding day, and the plan without business trip coverage can be subscribed up to 7 days before the boarding day.
