Sanyo Electric Railway has started operating trains wrapped in designs featuring ‘Myakumyaku’, the official character of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, from October 7.
The wrapping is applied to a six-car 5030 series train set. The lead car will feature full wrapping and a headmark display, while stickers will be mounted next to the doors on middle cars. These trains will operate between Sanyo Himeji and Hanshin Osaka Umeda stations, serving as direct express and express trains until the end of the Osaka-Kansai Expo on October 13, 2025.
The company will also operate a ‘Myakumyaku’ wrapped ropeway on the Suma Ura Ropeway from October 16, 2025, to October 13, 2025.
