Odakyu Electric Railway Begins Experiment to Detect Anomalies in Station Premises Using AI and Camera Footage
Odakyu Electric Railway, Odakyu Building Service, and Asilla have begun an experimental trial using advanced recognition AI to detect anomalies from camera footage in station premises.
The experiment utilizes Asilla’s AI security system “AI Security asilla” to test if it is possible to accurately detect situations such as falls from platforms, wheelchair users, and suspicious individuals or objects.
Odakyu Electric Railway aims to establish an operational system that can continue to function even with a 30% reduction in the working-age population by the fiscal year 2035 compared to the fiscal year 2020.
The trial will analyze footage from a total of 20 existing cameras installed at Kakio and Tamagawagakuen-mae stations using behavior recognition AI. The period of the experiment is from October 10, 2024, to January 9, 2025.
