Riyadh Air Confirms Order of 60 Airbus A321neo Family Aircraft
Riyadh Air has confirmed an order for 60 Airbus A321neo family aircraft.
The signing ceremony held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was attended by Yasser Al-Rumayyan, Chairman of Riyadh Air and Governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer, and Benoit de Saint Exupery, Airbus Executive Vice President in charge of Commercial Sales.
Riyadh Air, financed by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced in March this year its order of 29 confirmed and 33 option Boeing 787-9 aircraft. With an ambition to serve 330 million passengers by 2030, the airline aims to contribute $20 billion to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP and create over 200,000 new jobs.
