Changi International Airport Celebrates Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary with an 8-Meter Tall Installation
Changi International Airport celebrates Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary by installing an 8-meter tall Hello Kitty.
From November 1st until February 16th, 2025, the Terminal 3 departure lobby will host the Hello Kitty Festival Wonderland. Surrounding Hello Kitty are characters like My Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin. The area also features a 7-meter long rainbow slide.
Additionally, there are meet and greet sessions with Sanrio characters over the weekends where visitors can take commemorative photos. Those who have purchased items worth 50 Singapore dollars at general area retail or food outlets, or 80 Singapore dollars at supermarkets and Jewel, can book one session per receipt through an app. A snow show held daily creates a winter wonderland atmosphere. Limited edition merchandise is also available.
Furthermore, from November 14th, all terminals will be energized with festival vibes by Hello Kitty and friends. A total of 15 locations will feature elements like Hello Kitty on a rickshaw and a happily spinning Pompompurin.
