Hokkaido Railway Revitalization Council Conducts ‘Sumikko Gurashi: A Journey of Collecting Railway Stamps in Hokkaido’ Campaign
The Hokkaido Railway Revitalization Council will conduct the ‘Sumikko Gurashi: A Journey of Collecting Railway Stamps in Hokkaido’ campaign from October 15, 2024, to January 14, 2025.
A ‘Stamp Rally’ will be held, where participants can collect stamps by visiting 20 JR Hokkaido stations. The targeted stations include Sapporo, Otaru, Iwamizawa, Tomakomai, Noboribetsu, Oiwake, Hakodate, Asahikawa, Takikawa, Furano, Wakkanai, Nayoro, Kitami, Abashiri, Engaru, Obihiro, Mashu, Kushiro, Nemuro, Akkeshi.
Participants can use their smartphones to collect stamps at each station and apply for prizes via a special website. A total of 463 winners will be randomly selected to receive original goods such as acrylic stands, sacoches, pouches, and clear files.
During the campaign period, a special train with ‘Sumikko Gurashi’ wrapping, the ‘H100 form Nemuro Line Wrapping Vehicle (H100-86)’, will be operated inside, introduced with the support of Hokkaido and the national government.
