Hong Kong Express Airways Launches Operation of Its 10th Airbus A321neo
Hong Kong Express Airways has introduced its 10th Airbus A321neo (registration: B-KKJ).
After four days of inspections and test flights at the Delivery Center in Toulouse, France, the aircraft was airlifted to Hong Kong. Prior to the start of commercial operations, maintenance and inspection were carried out, with commercial operations beginning on November 9th.
The Airbus A321neo is equipped with 236 economy class seats. In addition to 18-inch-wide seats, it also features wider aisles and larger overhead bins. It is expected to reduce fuel consumption by up to 20% compared to the previous generation aircraft.
CEO Janet Mao commented, “We are very pleased to welcome our 10th Airbus A321neo as Hong Kong Express Airways continues to introduce new routes. This represents a significant step towards our goal of expanding our fleet to 40 aircraft. Since receiving our first A321neo in March last year, we have added 10 Airbus A321neo aircraft in just a year and a half. Our rapid fleet expansion and the introduction of new routes will result in Hong Kong Express operating more than 800 flights per week.”
As a result, Hong Kong Express now owns 6 Airbus A321ceo, 10 Airbus A320neo, 13 Airbus A321ceo, and 10 Airbus A321neo aircraft, making a total of 39 aircraft. By the end of the year, the fleet will expand to 40 aircraft, operating more than 800 flights per week.
