The Tokyo Expressway will discontinue the KK Line in early April 2025.
Due to the underground development project of the Japan Bridge section of the Metropolitan Expressway, and the decision to construct the new downtown loop route “Shin-Kyobashi Connector (underground),” the role of the existing route will significantly decrease, leading to the discontinuation of all sections except the East Ginza exit.
Following the discontinuation, based on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s policy, the area will be transformed into a “pedestrian-centric public space” utilizing the existing facilities.
