Japan Airlines (JAL) will start the travel savings plan ‘JAL e Travel Plan’ service on December 2.
Settings can be made through the JAL Mileage Bank app, and customers can choose to save monthly amounts of 5,000 yen, 10,000 yen, 30,000 yen, 50,000 yen, or 100,000 yen, for a period ranging from a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 60 months. Payments are supported exclusively through account transfers with JAL NEOBANK.
After the savings period ends, a service amount plus 5% in ‘savings points’ will be earned, which can be converted into ‘e JAL Points’ to purchase JAL flight tickets or JALPAK tour products. The validity period is 60 months. This service is part of the JAL Life Status program, and for every 300,000 yen set as the maturity amount, one point will be awarded.
As a launch commemoration campaign, through January 31, 2025, for applications, the service amount will be increased to 6%. The first 2,000 people who open a new JAL NEOBANK account and sign up for the ‘JAL e Travel Plan’ will receive 1,000 JAL Pay points.
