Rakuten Stay has renamed its lodging and private accommodation platform from ‘Vacation STAY’ to ‘Rakuten Oyado’.
‘Rakuten Oyado’ handles over 140,000 rooms, including hotels and inns as well as villas, cottages for entire place rentals, and apartments, condominiums. Registered rooms are also sold through affiliated travel booking services.
Rakuten Stay began accepting reservations for lodging and private accommodations as ‘Vacation STAY’ in 2018 in accordance with the implementation of the Housing Accommodation Business Act.
To commemorate the name change, users who make a reservation from noon on December 3rd to 11:59 a.m. on December 17th, and stay between December 3rd, 2024, and March 31st, 2025 will receive five times the usual Rakuten Points. Payment must be made using ‘Rakuten ID’.
