Hotel Nikko Alivila will offer the ‘Alivila Birdcage Afternoon Tea’, themed around ‘Warmth’, from December 1 to February 28, 2025.
The 1st plate includes two types of sweet potatoes with a yuzu-scented warm color tart, carrot mousse depicting a fire burning in a fireplace, steamed chicken with a mustard flavor, red cabbage marinated, a Vietnamese-style baguette sandwich called Banh Mi with cumin and ginger. The 2nd plate features fondant chocolate mixed with black sugar ginger powder, cookies in three flavors: tea, purple sweet potato, and cheese, along with pine butter & purple sweet potato jam, and plain scones. The 3rd plate prepares lemon crystal jelly envisioning snowscapes and clear ice, Mont Blanc sprinkled with powdered sugar like fresh snow, and Tankan mousse reflecting mandarins on a kotatsu.
The location is the ‘Ariacara’ lounge. It is available from noon to 4 PM with a 2-hour limit. The price is 6,000 yen, and as an option, free flow of soft drinks & sparkling wine for 2 hours is offered at 2,800 yen (tax & service charge included). Reservation required, accepts from 2 people.
