Jounan Kotsu Launches New Bus Line from Yatabe Garage & Kenkyu-gakuen Station to Busta Shinjuku, Offering 4 Round Trips Daily with Kanto Railway
Jounan Kotsu has started operating the express bus line from Yatabe Garage & Kenkyu-gakuen Station to Busta Shinjuku from December 10.
This service is operated jointly with Kanto Railway, making a total of 4 round trips per day. Departures from Yatabe Garage are at 5:40 AM, 6:40 AM, 2:20 PM, and 4:00 PM, arriving at Busta Shinjuku at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 4:40 PM, and 6:20 PM, respectively. Departures from Busta Shinjuku are at 9:40 AM, 11:40 AM, 6:20 PM, and 8:00 PM, arriving back at Yatabe Garage at 11:40 AM, 12:40 PM, 8:20 PM, and 10:00 PM, respectively. Stops along the way include Jounan Kotsu Headquarters, Matsudai 1-chome, Kenkyu-gakuen Station, Kenkyu-gakuen Station Front Park, and the Tsukuba Western Industrial Park.
For both directions, the first and last services of the day are operated by Jounan Kotsu, with the other two round trips handled by Kanto Railway. Departure spots at Busta Shinjuku may vary depending on the day and the service. Park & Ride services are available at Jounan Kotsu Headquarters stop.
No reservation is required for the uphill (towards Busta Shinjuku) services as they are on a first-come, first-served basis, but reservations are needed for the downhill services through the Depart Okurayama net. The fare is 1,300 JPY for adults and 650 JPY for children. For uphill services, Jounan Kotsu-branded buses accept cash and credit card touch payments, while Kanto Railway services accept cash and transportation IC cards.
