Toki Air has extended the suspension of all flights until January 14.
The first aircraft (ATR72-600 model, registration number: JA01QQ) suffered damage to the de-icing system on January 6, and the second aircraft (same model, registration number: JA02QQ) was struck by lightning during flight on December 15, requiring ongoing maintenance.
The suspension of all flights has been ongoing since January 7 due to the time required to procure parts from abroad, and the suspension was initially determined to last until January 10. The need to transport replacement parts by air from abroad and then by land to Niigata Airport, and conducting the work outdoors mean that the schedule may change depending on road conditions and the weather.
