Scandinavian Airlines will introduce SpaceX’s low-Earth orbit satellite communication service, Starlink.
Starting from the end of 2025, it will be gradually introduced to all aircraft, and EuroBonus members of their mileage program will receive the service for free. It will also support multi-device connections.
The service will be available from boarding to disembarkation, allowing use in areas where traditional satellite services were interrupted, such as the Arctic, Atlantic Ocean, and North Sea.
Starlink’s low-Earth orbit satellite communication service is characterized by high-speed and low-latency communication. ZIPAIR Tokyo, Qatar Airways, WestJet Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines have already announced their introduction of Starlink.
