AIRDO and Hokkaido will continue their year-round “Job Hunting Support Discount Fares” for all routes.
The “Job Hunting Support Discount Fares” were introduced in 2014 to support job-hunting activities for students within Hokkaido. In 2015, the program was expanded to include students engaged in job hunting who are enrolled in postgraduate programs, universities, junior colleges, and technical colleges in all serviced areas after completing specific procedures with AIRDO. This was made available year-round from 2024.
To utilize the service, students need an “approval letter” for the discount fare issued by their school and a photo ID such as a student ID card. Reservations can be made through the membership service “My AIRDO,” and purchases can be completed via “My AIRDO,” AIRDO’s reservation information center by credit card payment, cash payment at convenience stores, or through travel agencies. The purchase must be completed within four days, including the reservation date.
AIRDO and Hokkaido aim to promote employment and settlement in Hokkaido by reducing the burden on students residing outside the region who wish to work for companies in Hokkaido.
