
Korean Authorities Amend Regulations on Carry-On Batteries and E-Cigarettes
American Airlines announced on January 29, local time, that Flight AA5342 from Wichita to Washington/Reagan (CRJ-700, registration number: N709PS) was involved in an accident just before landing.
The flight departed Wichita at 5:22 PM on the same day, and was scheduled to arrive in Washington/Reagan at 8:55 PM. The flight was operated under the American Eagle brand by PSA Airlines.
CNN reports that the plane made contact with a U.S. military helicopter in-flight and crashed into the Potomac River. The airport company is responding to the accident and has halted all arrivals and departures.
