
JR East Releases ‘Kyun Pass’: Unlimited Rides for ¥10,000 on Weekdays Including Shinkansen, Plus New Two-Day Option
JR Hokkaido will expand the range of products available on “Ekinet” starting March 15.
The discount rate for “Limited Express Tokuda-value 1” on the Sapporo~Asahikawa station route will be increased. Applicable trains include Limited Express “Kamui,” “Lilac,” “Soya,” and “Okhotsk.” An example of the one-way minimum price, which includes both fare and limited express charges for an ordinary car reserved seat to/from Sapporo station, is as follows: Iwamizawa station 950 yen (currently 1,380 yen), Bibai station 1,480 yen (currently 1,920 yen), Takikawa station 2,130 yen (currently 2,490 yen), and Asahikawa station 2,610 yen (currently 2,860 yen). The maximum discount rate is 55%.
For the Limited Express “Okhotsk,” the discount rate for “Limited Express Tokuda-value 1” will be increased, and new settings will be implemented. The discount rate will be increased for the Sapporo to Abashiri/Kitami/Engaru station route. The one-way price, including both fare and limited express charges for an ordinary car reserved seat to/from Sapporo station (city), is 5,310 yen to Engaru station (currently 5,550 yen), 5,690 yen to Kitami station (currently 6,270 yen), and 6,580 yen to Abashiri station (currently 7,360 yen). New settings will be available for the Asahikawa to Abashiri/Kitami/Engaru station route. One-way prices including fare and limited express charges for an ordinary car reserved seat to/from Asahikawa station are 2,340 yen to Engaru, 3,240 yen to Kitami, and 4,270 yen to Abashiri. The “Limited Express Tokuda-value 1” set for the Limited Express “Taisetsu” will be terminated on March 14 due to the acceleration of the train.
The applicable range of the “Conventional Line Ticketless Limited Express Ticket (Discount)” on the Sapporo~Asahikawa station route will be expanded. Previously it was only set for the Sapporo~Iwamizawa station route, but it will now also include the Sapporo to Bibai, Sunagawa, Takikawa, Fukagawa, Asahikawa station route and Asahikawa to Fukagawa, Takikawa station route. Fares for an ordinary car reserved seat are 1,090 yen for Sapporo to Bibai, Sunagawa, Takikawa station, 1,530 yen for Sapporo to Fukagawa, Asahikawa station, 810 yen for Asahikawa to Fukagawa station, and 1,170 yen for Asahikawa to Takikawa station. As a result, the sale of “Conventional Line Ticketless Limited Express Tickets” will be terminated.
For the limited express commuter pass “Kayo-Earl+”, reservations for ordinary car reserved seats will be accepted from 7 days before the boarding date starting March 15.
In line with the fare revision on April 1, the discount rate will remain unchanged but the sale price will increase from April 1.
