Danger Level Reduced in Certain Areas of Lebanon
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has reduced the danger level of certain regions in Lebanon.
The affected areas are the South Governorate, Nabatieh Governorate, Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, Bekaa Governorate, Akkar Governorate, and the southern suburbs of Beirut (excluding the Dahiyeh area within the grounds of Rafic Al Hariri International Airport, and areas other than the main road connecting the airport to Beirut). The level has been lowered from Level 4 (Evacuation Advisory) to Level 3 (Travel Suspension Advisory).
Since the ceasefire with Israel took effect, there have been no attacks by Israel, and a certain degree of stability in the situation has been observed, which led to this decision to lower the level. However, the risk of sudden deterioration in the situation remains, and travel to these regions is discouraged regardless of the purpose.
