Yanagawa Domain Lord Tachibana Residence Ohana reopened on January 11, with renovations completed on all hotel guest rooms, lobby, and lounge within the nationally designated cultural property.
The hotel offers 20 rooms across 8 types, including suites, corner deluxe, and premium twin rooms. Rooms facing the Japanese garden “Shotoen” provide a view of the garden and building, both nationally designated cultural properties. Room amenities include nature-derived bath amenities, paper-packaged mineral water, and bamboo toothbrushes and combs. The exclusive entrance for guests features stone-paved paths using foundation stones from the historical daimyo residence and signs made from local stone materials.
The lobby and lounge incorporate traditional crafts and local industry products, such as lighting using Yame lanterns from Ito Gonjiro Shoten and furniture from Regnatec in Morodomi Town, Saga Prefecture.
Dinner includes kaiseki cuisine using local ingredients such as wild duck from the Ariake Sea, and breakfast offers a Japanese meal with locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, guests can enjoy a “Breakfast on the Boat Plan,” which allows for a morning meal while touring the waterways spread across Yanagawa city, a guided tour of the cultural property area by staff knowledgeable about the Tachibana family and Ohana’s history, and a “Lord’s Favorite Books” experience offering paired reading experiences in the cultural property space with books selected under four themes.
Accommodation rates start from 38,700 yen per room for two people (one night, two meals, including tax and service charge). To commemorate the reopening, a “Special Reopening Plan” is available exclusively for reservations made through the official website. The reservation period is from January 11 to February 28, with a 20% discount on one night, two meals plan, and a 10% discount on the one night, breakfast included plan.
