REVOLUT TECHNOLOGIES JAPAN has started support for Apple Pay on their digital financial service “Revolut.”
The service has responded to the start of Apple Pay support for Visa debit cards by Visa Worldwide Japan. It can be used for touch payments at Visa-supported stores in Japan and abroad, as well as for payments on apps and websites.
In addition, Revolut is conducting a free trial campaign for its eSIM for users making payments with Apple Pay, until April 2. During the campaign, those who use Apple Pay for touch payments of 1,000 yen or more will receive a reimbursement equivalent to the cost of a 1GB data plan in one country. Even if multiple purchases are made or a data plan of over 1GB is purchased, the reimbursement will still only be equivalent to the cost of a 1GB data plan in one country.
Revolut is a fintech company established in July 2015 in the UK. It issues multi-currency debit cards, featuring small foreign exchange spreads and easy money transfers between members, and is used by over 50 million people worldwide.
