STARLUX Airlines will upsize the aircraft for the Nagoya/Chubu – Taipei/Taoyuan route starting March 30th.
Currently, they are using the Airbus A321neo, which will be replaced by the Airbus A330-900. The flight duration is 3 hours 5 minutes from Nagoya/Chubu and 2 hours 50 minutes from Taipei/Taoyuan.
The Airbus A330-900 is designed for major Asian cities and was first received in February 2022. Inside, it features 297 seats with a “1-2-1” full-flat arrangement in business class with 28 seats, and 269 seats in economy class. The interior, designed by BMW Designworks, uses warm fabrics and leather. The business class seats come with a 17.3-inch 4K monitor, while the economy class seats have a 13.3-inch 4K monitor, both supporting Bluetooth connectivity.
This change accommodates the peak demand for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, with plans to revert to the Airbus A321neo from June 1st.
