Rimowa Launches Sale of Refurbished Aluminum Suitcases

Rimowa has launched the sale of refurbished aluminum suitcases under the name “RE-CRAFTED” starting from March 12.

Since 2023, Rimowa has been collecting aluminum suitcases with wheels at certain locations for repair and recycling. Those that are eligible for repair are refurbished and sold as products that can be used as good as new.

The suitcases on sale offer a unique appeal that is different from brand new items, such as leaving the stickers applied by previous owners before collection intact, and featuring a “patina” that showcases years of cherished use. They come with a two-year quality guarantee.

Available items include models such as the “Classic Flight check in L silver” from 2010 (¥144,100), the “Topas Compact Black” from 2011 (¥121,000), and the “Topas Cabin S Gold” from 2009 (¥104,500).
