Keisei Electric Railway Merges with Shin-Keisei and Begins Operating Keisei Matsudo Line
Keisei Electric Railway will absorb Shinkeisei Electric Railway on April 1, with the Shinkeisei Line operating as the Keisei Matsudo Line.
Shinkeisei Electric Railway was established in 1946 as a subsidiary of Keisei Electric Railway, and became a wholly owned subsidiary in September 2022. The Shinkeisei Line, spanning 26.5 kilometers from Keisei-Tsudanuma to Matsudo Station, includes 22 intermediary stations. There will be no changes in fares or schedules due to the merger, and station numbering will change from Shin-Tsudanuma Station (KS66) to Matsudo Station (KS88).
As part of the Matsudo Line inauguration commemorative project, two train sets will operate with commemorative headmarks, and Matsudo Line Commemorative Tickets will be sold. These tickets include an original cover and a total of 5 tickets. Priced at 1,000 yen (including tax), they will be available at 25 stations including Keisei Ueno Station, Keisei-Tsudanuma Station, and Matsudo Station. The sales period is from April 1 to May 31, ending once sold out.
