Recaro Aircraft Seating, which manufactures aircraft seats, unveiled its latest products to the press at the “Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX2025)” currently being held in Hamburg, Germany.
Aiming to redefine passenger comfort and premium experience, the company has incorporated cutting-edge technology, focusing on lightweight and reusable materials to consider sustainability.
The “R3” for long-haul economy class offers an additional inch of legroom and enhanced ergonomic support for improved comfort. The seat is also 1.5 kilograms lighter, contributing to reduced fuel consumption.
The “R4” for premium economy class features a seamless table with an embedded mobile device holder and a design that reduces the risk of injury if accidentally released during extraction. The aisle-side armrest can be easily lifted, allowing for better accessibility for wheelchair users. The seat’s weight has been reduced by up to 10%.
The “R2 SPRINT,” primarily for leasing companies, offers a short delivery time of no less than 8 weeks from order and will debut in the third quarter as a successor to “BL3530 SPRINT.” It enhances comfort and design while being over 15% lighter.
Economy class models “R1” and “R2” now feature materials like fishing nets and recycled cable plates, previously showcased as concepts. The “R7” business class model is also on display.
