Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa has collaborated with Fukujuen to offer “Matcha Afternoon Tea” from May 1 to July 10.
Using matcha from Kyoto’s tea house “Fukujuen,” the array is prepared with a refreshing citrus accent.
Sweets include the “Amuse of Orange and Sencha Jelly” featuring sencha jelly made with “Fukamushicha Ryokufuu,” combined with mandarin orange sauce and soda; “Matcha and Kumquat Roll Cake,” with matcha cream wrapped in matcha sponge cake topped with kumquat and white chocolate; “Matcha Terrine Chocolat,” layered with matcha terrine chocolat, black beans, and hojicha tuille; and “Matcha and Citrus Verrine,” combining the milky taste of panna cotta with matcha jelly and accented with orange. Savories include “Avocado and Citrus Mousse with Salmon Rose” and “Matcha Melon Pan Carrot Rape Sandwich,” along with scones.
Drinks feature a lineup including “Fukamushicha Ryokufuu,” “Karigane Hojicha Hatsukahoru,” original herbal teas, black tea, and coffee.
The venue is “Lounge Momiji” on the 1st floor. Service hours are from noon to 6:30 PM on weekdays in three-hour intervals and from 1 PM to 6:30 PM on weekends and holidays in two-hour intervals. The price is 6,300 yen, tax included, service charge excluded.
