The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike will offer ‘Art of Plate Hanaokashi – Enrinwagawa,’ a Japanese afternoon tea, on selected dates from June to August.
This afternoon tea, themed on “flowers,” features sweets placed by staff on a flower-themed frame at the table, allowing guests to enjoy the presentation. Special focus is placed on healthy ingredients, with savory dishes featuring summer vegetables. An example menu includes cold Japanese sweets such as chilled dumplings and mizuyokan made from an original recipe, a hydrangea-colored glass dessert “Peach and Blueberry Verrine with Local Honey,” along with savory items like “Tuna Broth Rolled Omelette,” “Okra Tomato Paprika Jelly,” and “Eel Tofu Kujo Leek.”
Available dates are June 6, 7, 20-22, 27-29; July 4-6, 18-21; August 8-11, 22-24. The service is from 2 PM to 4 PM. The price is 10,000 yen, tax included, service charge not included. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.
