
Hyatt Regency Tokyo Opens ‘Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar’ on April 24
Shangri-La Tokyo is hosting the “Early Summer Breeze Afternoon Tea” in collaboration with the specialized baumkuchen shop “Nenrinha” from May 1 to June 30.
Sweets include the “Chocolate and Praline Feuilletine Mille-Feuille”, which sandwiches Shangri-La Tokyo’s tea, the original Himalayan blend ganache and praline feuilletine between three thin chocolate discs set in a mille-feuille style, “Melon An-Nin” accompanied by Nenrinha’s Mount Baum, “Matcha and Sesame Tuille” leveraging the baumkuchen’s mountain-like shape from Nenrinha, “Raspberry Rose” which infuses baumkuchen with raspberry rose syrup, and “Orange Mousse” with concealed orange coulis. Savories feature “Baumkuchen Foie Gras Terrine with Coffee and Mango,” “Matcha Baum with Orange-Flavored Smoked Salmon and Caviar,” “Green Pea Mousse and Colorful Vegetable Jelly with Salami Chips,” and “Chicken Kebab and Spinach Tortilla.”
Scones include classic, jasmine apricot, as well as baumkuchen beignet served with clotted cream, strawberry jam, and cinnamon curd. As part of the collaboration, guests can also enjoy “Baumkuchen Dessert Plate with Nenrinha” and choose baumkuchen-inspired “Pizza Style Baumkuchen” and “Baumkuchen Beignet” as breakfast main course options.
The venue is the 28th-floor lounge & bar “The Lobby Lounge.” Service hours are from noon on weekdays and 1 PM to 5:30 PM on weekends and public holidays. The price is 9,680 yen, tax included, service charge excluded.
