Hilton to Expand ‘NoMad’ in Asia Pacific, Opening in Singapore by 2027
IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to open ‘Holiday Inn & Suites Sapporo Odori Park’ this fall.
This will be the second ‘Holiday Inn & Suites’ brand in Japan. It was formerly the Tenza Hotel & Skyspa Sapporo Central, which closed on March 28 this year. Previously known as Hotel Leopalace Sapporo, it was sold as part of a financial restructuring following construction defects discovered in an apartment building in 2019, and became Tenza Hotel in April 2020.
The hotel will feature a total of 195 rooms. A major renovation will be undertaken, including the renovation of all guest rooms and the introduction of a lobby café reflecting the ‘Open Lobby’ concept characteristic of Holiday Inn. Additionally, there will be facilities such as a gym, meeting spaces, a restaurant, and a large public bath on the upper floors.
It’s approximately an 8-minute walk from Odori Subway Station. The hotel is located at the end of the Tanuki Koji shopping street in the Susukino area, and Odori Park is within walking distance.
