JAL Starts Selling Paid In-Flight Meals Featuring Eel Bento and Beef Stew
British Airways has adopted the UK tea brand Virtual as their new tea provider.
The selection was based on performance in blind tastings, the company’s UK roots, and sustainability considerations. The tea bags are made from plant-based fibers and are produced in a tea factory powered solely by solar energy.
They offer various types including the vibrant and elegant flavor of Virtual Great Rift English Breakfast, relaxing chamomile, warm lemongrass & ginger, caffeine-free Great Rift, and refreshing red berries & flowers.
The tea has been available in all classes on long-haul routes since May 1, and will expand to business class on short-haul routes from June. From July, it will be added to the paid menu for short-haul economy class. It will also be available in lounges worldwide.
British Airways serves approximately 37 million cups of tea onboard and about 2 million cups in lounges annually.
