Lloyd’s Capital to Acquire All Shares in the Gateway Narita Project
Ofunato City in Iwate Prefecture will implement the “Ofunato Reconstruction Discount Project” to stimulate tourism demand and revitalize the regional economy, affected by the large-scale forest fire.
From check-ins on June 29 to check-outs by December 1, a partial discount on accommodation fees will be offered to tourists from outside the city who use lodging facilities within the city. Additionally, coupon vouchers usable within the city will be provided.
Accommodation fees of 10,000 yen or more will be discounted by 3,000 yen, fees between 8,000 yen and 10,000 yen will be discounted by 2,000 yen, and fees between 6,000 yen and 8,000 yen will be discounted by 1,000 yen. Moreover, a coupon voucher worth 1,000 yen (two 500 yen tickets) will be distributed regardless of the accommodation fee. The coupon voucher can be used with a purchase of 1,000 yen per 500 yen ticket, and its expiration is the day following the stay.
The project budget covers 10,000 overnight stays, with a maximum of two consecutive nights per instance. If the number of distributed coupon vouchers reaches its limit, only accommodation fee subsidies will be provided, and the project will end once the budget limit is reached. Lodging facilities and registered businesses eligible for the project are currently being arranged. The project does not cover accommodations on Saturdays, Sundays, and the day before holidays, stays from August 3 to 14, campgrounds, private stays, and facilities for workers.
