Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X will offer fruits produced by Thai farmers as in-flight meals.
They have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce to support Thai fruit farmers. They will purchase 1,000 tons of longan, mangosteen, and Prae pineapples to be provided as in-flight meals on all domestic and international routes starting July.
In July, longan will be featured, August will bring mangosteen, and November and December will focus on Prae pineapples, with menus offering drinks, snacks, and hot meals. In July, special offerings include Hat Yai fried chicken with longan sauce and longan-goji jelly.
The Thai government is implementing agricultural support policies aimed at enhancing the value of Thai agricultural products, creating alternative distribution channels, and increasing farmers’ incomes.
