Palau Seminar & Workshop in Tokyo; United to Launch Narita–Koror Direct Flights Oct 29
On September 29, the Philippines Department of Tourism announced that a joint public- and private-sector mission from Bohol Island visited Japan and held a networking seminar.
Bohol Island, the Philippines’ only UNESCO Global Geopark, is rich in nature and tourism resources. Access is about 1.5 hours by domestic flight from Manila, or about 2 hours by ferry from Cebu Island. Among Japanese travelers, users of Bohol–Panglao International Airport totaled around 40,000 in 2024, more than triple the 2019 figure, making it a destination with a very high growth rate in recent years.
More than 20 participants — including senior officials of the Bohol provincial government, local operators, hotels, and dive shops — took part and held business meetings with Japanese travel agencies and others.
