Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts to Present ‘Atlas of the Heavens: Treasures of the Italy Pavilion’ (Oct 25–Jan 12, 2026)
On September 18, the Portugal Tourism Board held Travel Trade Market Place Japan, its first B2B seminar in several years.
The seminar featured a presentation on the latest trends in travel to Portugal, along with updates from destinations around the country, including Alentejo, the Central Region, and the Madeira Islands.
Regarding the current situation and outlook for tourism to Portugal, board member Lídia Monteiro stated that Portugal has been the fastest in Europe to recover from the pandemic, that international travel surpassed 2019 levels in 2024, and that the Japan market is expected to recover within this year. While the target audience continues to span all age groups, younger segments will be reached through online campaigns. For the Japanese market, they will continue providing information to travel agencies and conducting online promotions to maintain the momentum of the Expo year in Japan.
