
Thailand Announces Mourning Measures After the Passing of Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother
Nishitetsu Store held the grand opening of “Hakata Yari Udon Hong Kong” on October 25.
“Hakata Yari Udon” is a Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan-based udon restaurant with three locations. The Hong Kong branch uses the same noodles and broth as the Fukuoka locations and offers 19 items in total, including udon, rice dishes, and small plates. Signature items include “Yari Udon” topped with 32-centimeter burdock tempura and maruten (fried fish cake), “White Curry Udon,” and “Deep-fried Burdock.”
Location: 2/F, Mira Place, 130 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Hours: noon to 12:00 a.m. Seating: 42. Operated by C.L. Group Cuisine, which plans to expand to Mainland China, Macau, and Thailand.
At the three domestic (Japan) locations, special menu items commemorating the Hong Kong opening are available through November 16: “Fragrant Wonton Udon” (900 yen) and “Spicy XO Sauce Udon” (920 yen). Prices include tax.
