Hoshino Resorts will open KAI Zao in autumn 2026 in Japan.
The property will have 49 guest rooms. Inside, it will feature a 360-degree panoramic rooftop terrace inspired by the Okama crater, with a Jacuzzi bath at its center. The bathhouse’s large communal bath area will include an open-air bath facing a garden featuring Zao stone, a source-fed hot spring, and three tubs for a final rinse, each with different concentrations of strongly acidic sulfur springs.
