JR East to Revise Fares in March 2026 with a 7.8% Increase, Application Approved
Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central), Toyohashi City, and JTB Communication Design will hold the “Echoes of Hope! Journey of Light in Toyohashi” event from February 28 to April 26.
This event is organized in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series. The main attraction, “Land of Light Museum: Ultraman XR Journey,” allows visitors to tour the Land of Light Museum guided by Ultraman and experience the series’ history exhibits, monster displays, and battle scenes unfolding right before their eyes in a VR space. At the venue, they will sell merchandise such as stainless steel tumblers and acrylic keychains featuring exclusive illustrations, as well as locally produced specialty products in limited-edition packaging. The event will take place at a special venue inside the COCOLA AVENUE shopping complex in front of Toyohashi Station. Admission is charged, and advance reservations or same-day tickets are required.
In addition, starting from JR Toyohashi Station, large-scale decorations and graffiti-style art will be displayed at various locations throughout the city. Visitors can experience citywide AR content at five spots using their smartphones, and a stamp rally will also be held in which a complete illustration is created by stamping multiple designs onto a single sheet.
As onboard-exclusive content on the Tokaido Shinkansen, three types of section-specific AR photo frames will be offered, allowing passengers to take photos of Ultraman flying through the sky alongside the scenery outside the train windows while it is in motion. Those who present the digital boarding certificate issued after the experience at the Toyohashi Tourist Information Center will receive a clear file featuring an exclusive illustration. Limited to one item per person per day; distribution will end once the planned number has been reached.
Details such as the five spots in Toyohashi City where the AR experiences and stamp rally will be available, as well as the opening hours of the Toyohashi Tourist Information Center, are provided on JR Central’s “Oshitabi” campaign website and its official social media accounts.
