Louis Vuitton will release revised editions of its travel guidebook series, the “Louis Vuitton City Guide,” for Bangkok, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Paris, Rome, and Tokyo.
Since its first publication in 1998, the series has portrayed each city from the personal perspectives of independent writers and special guest contributors, and now covers 43 cities in total across print and digital editions. In these latest revised editions, previously unpublished content has been added. For the first time, the guides feature illustrated pages introducing each city’s history and key events, as well as newly created special sections that shine a spotlight on prominent local figures from various fields who have helped shape the character of each city.
This year’s special guests include Chef Chalee Kader for the Bangkok edition, Senior Curator Matthew Yokobosky of the Brooklyn Museum for the New York edition, and artist Eva Jospin for the Paris edition. Photography is by Tandance Flou, a collective of photographers based in Paris, France.
The print editions will be sold at Louis Vuitton stores and on the brand’s official website in French, English, and Chinese (for select cities) for 5,940 yen (tax included). The mobile app editions can be purchased from the App Store for 1,500 yen per city. The Apple TV app is available as a free download, and the digital “City Guide Paris” edition is also offered free of charge on the App Store.
