SMBC Aviation Capital Orders 100 Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft

SMBC Aviation Capital has placed a firm order for 100 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The announcement was made at the Farnborough Airshow, currently being held near London, United Kingdom.

The order comprises 60 Boeing 737-10 aircraft and 40 Boeing 737-8 aircraft. This is SMBC Aviation Capital’s first order for the Boeing 737-10 and represents the largest single order for the type by a leasing company. The order will increase SMBC Aviation Capital’s owned, managed and committed Boeing 737 MAX fleet to 450 aircraft.
